When we decided to remodel our bathroom, we thought we had a clear vision: clean lines, neutral tones, and something “elevated but simple.” But the deeper we got into it, the more we realized that what we were missing wasn’t a clearer idea — it was a real sense of place.
We needed to see, touch, and feel the finishes. We wanted to walk into a space and feel something shift. That’s when we started exploring bathroom showrooms in Sacramento — and each visit brought us closer to a design that finally felt like ours.
Here’s what we found, what we learned, and how these three very different spaces shaped the bathroom we now love.
1. The Modern Minimalist Escape
From the moment we walked in, this showroom was quiet in all the right ways. Wide, open displays. Soft, indirect lighting. Everything was curated, not crowded — the kind of place that makes you speak in a softer voice.
What we noticed:

Touchless fixtures and built-in LED lighting

The third showroom was bold. Glossy. A little glam, even. Black tile with white grout. Geometric mirrors. Wallpaper in the bathroom (yes, and it worked). We walked in and immediately thought: “This is not us.”
And yet, we stayed longer than we thought.

The Space We Finally Created
Our final design pulled together inspiration from all three showrooms:
A floating oak vanity with clean lines (Showroom 1)
Brass fixtures and layered lighting (Showroom 2)
A deep green accent tile that adds quiet drama (inspired by Showroom 3)
Now, our bathroom doesn’t just look better — it feels better. It feels intentional. It feels like us.
And it all started by walking through real spaces designed with care.
